Hey guys, thanks! This dred sounds very different than any other I've ever played and I've played a bunch of them. Harmonically the sound is much more complex or rich and there is better tonal balance in that the trebles are not buried under the bass. It is also responsive enough to play fingerstyle without fingerpicks, something I never could do on any other dred I've had (last one was an HD28). I still need to try and tune the back and top together for best response but will have to do that later after it opens up some.

I don't know about the rest of you guys but I've been playing this guitar about 30 or 40 minutes a day since I finished it a week ago and it is really opening up. It never ceases to amaze me how much the sound improves in just a short time. Wish I could have waited about 3 or 4 weeks before making the sound clips.

Steve,
It was good seeing you yesterday and getting to talk for a few. Just read the rest of your thread and saw the finished "Big Mouth". She is beautiful and sounds great.
Will be in touch later this week with more info about hosting a get-to-gether at the Woodcraft store. Just have to check the schedule and see when the room is available.

Paul

Thanks Paul. Another get-together would be great and the store would be a perfect venue. I have a list of contacts from our last get-together at my house that we can add to your list (although I'm sure some are the same).
